reckoning

thoughts after watching the clips:

the tailie kids will be back before the end of the season, in one way or another

there were a lot of kate and jack scenes... what will this mean?

i think desmond is 'him'. if the guy is getting up every 108 minutes to push a button, why was he spending all that time getting ready down in the hatch, and why was he all grimy once they got down there, just a few minutes later?
i think he was there to set up the button pushing test for locke and the rest of the castaways. the others knew the hatch was about to be blown up, and after desmond ate and showered, he used his dharma initiative makeup kit to dirty himself up and make it look like he had been down there alone for a long time.
they blow up the hatch, he tells them his story and takes off. takes off cause that was part of the plan? maybe he was supposed to infiltrate them, but the computer gets shot, and knowing what will happen if the button isn't pressed he leaves, not wanting to be around for that? once he figures out its working okay, he sends 'henry' back to do the job he was supposed to be doing. or henry is the real boss, and he decides if he wants the job done right, he needs to do it himself?

and maybe the plane 'crashing' is dharmas way of keeping the test running; providing new subjects along with new workers. the 'good ones', the innocents, are abducted by the others and groomed to be replacements on dharma's island skeleton crew - children are most sought after because they will last longer and are easier to coerce, or brainwash; especially if they've never known another life -, while the 'lost' passengers are the new test subjects. once all the test subjects have outlived their usefulness the process begins again.
are there agents around the world selecting people for the test without their knowledge? desmond, the psychic, the healer, people in the government?
they conspire to get the people that they've selected together, aboard a flight, or maybe a cruise. of course there is collateral; spouses, families, etc., who become the new worker bees?
interesting that there weren't any nuclear families among the survivors. Michael, Walt and Vincent are about as close as they got.

ahhhh, i have no idea.
the god voice during these clip shows is cool, though.
